Have you reserved room blocks at a hotel?

For guests who are traveling, we have a reservation link with Alt Hotel East Village that offers you a group discount rate specifically for our wedding. The hotel is located directly across the street from Charbar (our wedding location) and offers a convenient option if you are travelling from away or if you would like to crash nearby after the party. If you would like to book and receive the discount,  please use this link to book or call the hotel at (587) 441-6635 and mention that you are booking a room for the “Krill and Nanji Wedding” in August!

Is there a wedding registry?

We are extremely lucky to have love, laughter, and a house full of appliances and furniture! If you'd like to help us celebrate with a gift, we've set up a honeymoon fund. To contribute online, please e-transfer Sydney at sydneykrill@shaw.ca. Please know this is not expected and your presence is a present on our day :) !

What if I have dietary restrictions?

No problem! Charbar is attentive to any dietary accommodations you may need. We will ensure that you are able to enjoy a meal safely while you celebrate with us. 

Are kiddos welcome?

We love kids! However, our wedding will be adults only and we politely request no children attend the ceremony and reception. Thank you in advance for understanding!

What if I have accessibility needs?

There is an elevator at the venue that is able to accommodate any mobility restrictions you may have. As well, there are washrooms located at each level of the venue. 

Please do not hesitate to reach out to Sydney or Safeer if you have any questions or concerns around accessibility, comfort or safety. We will work with you to make sure you are able to fully enjoy your experience as a guest.

Is there a dress code?

Semi-formal (the brighter the better, and prints are encouraged!) Most importantly, we just want you to wear something that you love and that makes you feel good :)

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Sort of! There is no direct parking at the Simmons Building. Instead, there are a number of nearby private lots that offer 24/7 paid parking. They are:

• City Lot 74 (East Village) – 656 Confluence Way S.E. [Open 24/7, 8$ on Sunday]

• Indigo C154 (East Village Riverfront) – 525, 6 Avenue S.E. [Open 24/7, 6-8$ on Sunday] 

• City Lot 7 (Downtown) – 208 9 Avenue S.W. [Open 24/7, 5$ on Sunday]

Will there be dancing?

Yes - we will be dancing towards the end of the evening! If that’s not your thing, there is a large section of the venue that will not be converted into a dance floor where you can relax and hang out. We will also have a photo booth and a late night snack :)

Will there be a bar?

Of course! There will be some combination of open and closed bar options throughout the evening.
